Along the entirety of its manufacturing chain, ROLD adopts top quality plastic material in accordance with current regulations, which apply to pollution and the presence/management of toxic substances. The entire product range is rigorously checked and certified by autonomous independent certifying bodies (European ENEC label).
Namely, the company complies with the RoHS 2 directive (Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances), introduced by the EU in order to limit the use of substances harmful to health and the environment in electrical and electronic equipment, as well as to safely manage its entire life cycle.
In order to provide people and the environment with greater protection from the risks deriving from the use of chemicals, ROLD also complies with the EU’s REACH directive (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals)
ROLD has decided furthermore to pursue the highest moral integrity and ethical standards in all of its business sectors. With this objective, the company complies with the guidelines of two important international directives:
– the US Conflict Minerals Law; a special directive designed to raise awareness within the world of corporate business regarding the non-use of gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten from areas of the world where there are long-standing conflicts, related to the extraction and trading of these minerals (namely in the Republic of Congo and in neighbouring areas).
– Child Labour Avoidance and Human Trafficking Avoidance: guidelines from the principal international organisations, designed to protect human rights, especially those of minors.
